About Our Team

Our wider team is made up of youth, young adults & families from around the Manawatū and Horowhenua regions.
Our cabin leaders are passionate about including their campers in all elements of the camp programme. They support the campers with forming friendships, trying new challenges and taking care of their day to day needs.
Our support staff assist the programme behind the scenes; helping in our dining room, with our technology, pastoral care and programme support, among other tasks. Our camp parents and grandparents support the medical, pastoral and practical care of our campers. They show lots of love to our campers, and are passionate about caring for them.

Help Support Wharerama

Donate

Camp Wharerama is a non-profit organisation, and currently, all of what we do is made possible by donations of time, resources and finances. If you have the desire and capacity to support us to run our camps, we value any donation you may be able to give us.
We have two areas we would like particular support in. The first is to continue to build our resources for arts/crafts, activities, sports and God’s Post sessions, as we have started our supplies from scratch. The second is sponsoring children to attend camp. If you have a heart towards camp being accessible to all, we would love your help in sponsoring tamariki to attend when their whānau is unable to support them to do so.

Unfortunately we do not yet have a donation system setup, but if you'd like to support us in any way click the donate button below and that will let you get in contact with us to figure something out.
